Seasoned Licensed psychologists with expertise in the evaluation of autism in children and adolescents conduct our evaluations to accurately diagnose or rule-out autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as other common co-occuring conditions including ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Having an accurate diagnosis is key to connecting individuals to the appropriate supports and services.
What is included in a comprehensive evaluation?
- Initial developmental interview with the parent or caregiver, and the individual as appropriate
- Review of existing medical, social, academic, and developmental records
- Developmental or cognitive testing as indicated to assess for learning differences
- Standardized behavioral observation using evidence-based assessment tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2)
- Collection of parent/caregiver and teacher adaptive and behavioral rating scales
- Face to face feedback and discussion of evaluation results and recommendations
- Written report of evaluation results and findings
